Review of Valentino Made in Italy Mens Suit 3 Button 2pc Canvas Front Jacket Italian Suit Australian Merino Wool / Silk 150s Navy Stripe

I ordered this suit because I needed a good suit in a hurry for a wedding. I was very hesitant about buying a suit online as I am fussy about suits. However, the reviews for this seller and suits were very positive so after several fruitless and frustrating weeks of shopping locally, I ordered this suit.

First the cons:
The sleeves are sewn tight to the body. If you need to reach up a lot (overhead shelves, blackboard) this suit may bother you. Basically, the sleeve lifts the whole jacket every time you lift your arm/arms above chin level and you need to shrug it back in position when you drop your arms. Yeah, this is why it's 4 stars, 5 stars says something is perfect.

Now the pros:
Yep, that was it for the cons!
The suit fabric is quite soft, lush and silky, easily comfortable all day fabric. Definitely not the abrasive wools so often found in cheaper suits.
The suit arrived three days after I ordered it and this includes weekend days.
After hemming the pants, the suit fit and wore perfectly. I did not remove the jacket for hours at an oudoor wedding and reception in Virginia with high humidity 80% and 85 F temps... Normally I would've shucked the jacket and found an excuse to get out of a wool suit immediately after the wedding ceremony in that kind of weather. Darn comfortable suit for standing around outside in hot muggy weather and making chitchat with the relatives and friends.
Is it a thousand dollar suit? well, no, not to my mind but it easily beats suits I looked at in the $500 to $800 price range. The lining did not bunch or pull out, the pants are comfortable and lined well down the front of the leg. The pockets are in the right places at the right angles and include the small interior pockets so one can separate coins from keys.
Sewing in this suit looks very good with all pockets and edges well stitched. I found one loose thread in the whole suit and that thread was just a tag end on an interior pocket reinforcement stitch. small scissors cleaned that up.
The fabric has excellent hand and lays very well across the shoulders and neck so that one does not get that ugly hunched gap behind the neck. Outside of raising your arms above your head, the suit flexes extremely well and returns to position without tugging or shifting. An excellent suit to dance in and not worry about how the suit looks. Shame I didn't order from this company before I retired, I think I would've loved their suits for work; I just would've removed the jacket for cubical work or blackboard use.
So, if you are looking at these suits and hesitating because you are worried about online ordering; make the leap and do it, this suit is a bargain and easily beats the suits you probably didn't like locally.
